Production

Understanding the production process is crucial for setting expectations regarding the quality of our 3D prints and comprehending the effort involved in creating what may seem like a “simple” 3D print.

Summary

  • Printers:
We use the Saturn 2 and Saturn 3 mSLA and Mars 4 DLP printers in our production of miniatures, busts and large scale models. For large bases, terrain or practical prints we use our FDM printer the Bambu Lab P1S
  • Layer Height:
When using resin printing, we typically use a layer height of either 0.04 mm or 0.05 mm, depending on the model’s orientation and level of detail. For FDM printing, we generally use a layer height of 0.16 mm, with a variable layer height ranging from 0.08 mm to 0.12 mm, depending on the top surface.
  • Details:
Print layers and imperfections may be visible in certain areas of the print for both resin and FDM printed models. The custommer can fix these imperfections by filling holes / gaps and light sanding.
  • Hollow models:
Some models are hollowed to reduce costs and weight, this will be stated in the product description of the item. Hollowed prints will have holes to extract any resin that’s inside the model and for cleaning the inside. These holes are usually placed on a less visible part of the model (i.e. bottom, on the inside of a multi part model etc.) and on a flat surface without detail for easy filling and sanding.
  • Post-Processing:
Supports will be removed on resin and FDM printer models. Resin models will also be washed with isopropanol alchohol and cured using a UV-light. All 3D prints are delivered unpainted.

Licensing

In our catalog, we sell prints of all the models that we have obtained licenses for. These licenses are acquired directly from the creators or through Kickstarter releases. To help you verify our authenticity, we encourage you to check with the author of the models that we have the merchant license.
